MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) is a certification program intended for people who seek entry-level jobs in an IT (information technology) environment. MCSA is a prerequisite for more advanced Microsoft certifications. The course is designed to focus on a broad range of issues on the client operating system, desktop applications, mobile devices, networking, and hardware support. Successful completion of this course will enable candidates to operate in computing environments that use Microsoft Windows 7 as a desktop operating system in an enterprise environment. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in the IT field, as well as experience implementing and administering any Windows client operating system in a networked environment.

Successful completion of this course will enable candidates to support end users who run Microsoft Windows 7 in a corporate environment. Candidates should have experience using applications that are included with the operating system, such as productivity applications used in a corporate environment and Microsoft Office applications. Candidates should be able to resolve operating system issues by telephone, email, connecting to an end user's system remotely, or by visiting an end user's desktop. They should have a working knowledge of operating in an Active Directory domain environment.
