The CCNP - Security certification consists of four exams: CCNP Secure, CCNP IPS, CCNP Firewall and CCNP VPN. The course is aligned specifically to the job role of the Cisco Network Security Engineer and provides practical skills and knowledge to address the latest advances in network security. The course covers testing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting the core technologies that make up a Cisco secure network. CCNP Security assesses an engineer’s competency in using network-critical technologies and products, such as Cisco IOS security features in Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention and detection systems
CCNP Secure tests a candidate's knowledge and skills needed to secure Cisco IOS Software router and switch-based networks, and provide security services based on Cisco IOS Software
CCNP IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) serves to enhance the candidate's knowledge and skills in deploying Cisco IPS-based security solutions. Successful graduates will be able to reduce risk to the IT infrastructure and applications using Cisco IPS features and provide detailed operations support for the Cisco IPS.
CCNP Firewall is designed to build candidate's knowledge and skills needed to implement and maintain Cisco ASA-based perimeter solutions. Successful candidates will be able to reduce risk to the IT infrastructure and applications using Cisco ASA features and provide detailed operations support for the Cisco ASA.
CCNP VPN facilitates a candidate’s skill and knowledge to deploy Cisco ASA-based VPN solutions. Successful candidates will be able to reduce risk to the IT infrastructure and applications using Cisco ASA VPN features and provide detailed operations support for the Cisco ASA.
